Minding The Child: A Therapeutic support group promoting a healthy, happy, and secure attachment relationship between mommy and baby. Mothers will gain:
- A better understanding of her baby’s mind, including emotional and developmental needs.
- Skills helpful in understanding and coping with her own emotions and needs in light of her new relationship with baby.
- Support from other mothers who share a desire to foster positive baby (and mommy) development
Research indicates that healthy parent/child attunement and understanding leads to a child’s ability to develop adaptive social-cognitive skills, increased self-esteem, ability to tolerate and moderate emotions, stronger academic performance, and success in passing these skills on to future generations.
